British Stammering Association

Other or former names: Association for Stammerers

Description

BSA is the only national organisation for adults and children who stammer, run by people who stammer. The BSA Helpline, a confidential service offering callers the opportunity to ask, talk about and explore any issues of concern about stammering, is run by a team of staff and volunteers who fully appreciate how difficult it can be to talk and stammer on the telephone. BSA provide information on the different types of therapy, new approaches to therapy, links to useful websites, and new research and technology. Their website is an ideal way to access help and information about stammering. It removes the barriers to asking for help, making communication easier for those who need it most. They publish a quarterly magazine: "Speaking Out".
