Electronic Aids for the Blind

Description

This charity is being wound up in 2006, so you will need to check which services are available. Currently, Electronic Aids for the Blind provide electronic equipment to people of all ages with sight loss, carry out research and develop new services and ensure recipients receive back-up and support to help them to get the most from their equipment. The website contains descriptions of the varying sorts of assistive/adaptive technology available to facilitate disabled access to computers. There is a clear explanation of how the website has been designed to make it as easy to use as possible, with or without adaptive technology. A section of the web site contains computer tutorials for people with sight loss and people who, for whatever reason, can not use a mouse to control their computer.
