The Foundation for People with Learning Difficulties promotes the rights, quality of life and opportunities of people with learning disabilities and their families.
They research and develop projects that promote social inclusion and citizenship, support local communities and services to include people with learning disabilities, make practical improvements in services and spread knowledge and information.
The Foundation's website is the biggest website on learning disabilities/difficulties in the UK and is packed with information and resources. For example, there is an extensive list of publications with a helpful short description of each one. There are lots of downloadable factsheets and newsletters as well as links to other useful sites.
The Foundation for People with Learning Difficulties and the Mental Health Foundation jointly run Connects which is a web portal for mental health/learning disability issues. See the separate Connects entry in the A-Z.
