Child Brain Injury Trust - Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire

Other or former names: Child Brain Injury Trust - Cambs, Beds and Herts, CBIT, Child Brain Injury Trust - Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire

Description

Local branch of a national charity (Child Brain Injury Trust) for children who have an acquired brain injury eg from accident, infection, cancer and their parents and family.

Each branch provides different services and support. The contact point for this area is a solicitor in a law firm that provides no-obligation advice and legal support on issues and law around childhood brain injury. They can offer other information and advice and put you in contact with local volunteer families. They also co-ordinate a committee/support group of local doctors, nurses and related professionals interested in this area. This group is writing a directory of useful information and advice.

Visit their website for further information - this was developed as part of the Disability Cambridgeshire project.

They don't have any local funds as such - their work is supported by the law firm. However, there is plenty of opportunity to expand the work of this branch and they encourage interested people to contact them with ideas and energy.

You can also contact them via Disability Cambridgeshire.
