Hilltop Carers Centre

Description

The Carers Centre provides a focus for support to carers including information, advice and a drop-in. It is also the base for the Carers Project Worker who is available to:

* help carers know what statutory and voluntary support is available in the area

* help support groups and networks to develop

* give a voice to carers, stressing their needs

There is also a Day Centre for adults operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Carers Project Worker (01223 712 055) has strong links with people who are in a position to help carers. She also staffs the Carers drop-in session on a Monday afternoon and distributes the Carers Newsletter.

There are a number of local carers' groups in South and East Cambridgeshire; ring the centre for details.

A sitting service can be provided allowing the carer to have a break, contact: 01223 712 056
