SOFA is a not-for-profit voluntary group and registered charity that recycles good quality electrical appliances, furniture & household goods in Cambridge and the surrounding area.
All donated items are offered at an affordable price to local people who receive benefits or a low income.
You need to register before you can access their good-quality affordable goods - it only takes 2 mins. See their website for details or given them a ring. You will then get a plastic credit card 'Customer card'.
Customers can also be referred by Social Services, Citizens Advice Bureau, Cambridge Independent Advice Centre, Housing Associations ... and many, many more.
The shop, which is wheelchair accessible, is open Monday to Friday: 1000 to 1500 hrs. They also have a Delivery service.
They have lots of opportunities for volunteering and always need things to recycle - See their website for the goods they can receive.
