Cambridge Re-Use, formerly Cambridge SOFA, is a not-for-profit voluntary group and registered charity that recycles good quality electrical appliances, furniture & household goods in Cambridge and the surrounding area. These are offered at low cost to people on low income.

You need to register before you can access their good-quality affordable goods. See their website for details or given them a ring. You will then get a plastic credit card 'Customer card'.

Customers can also be referred by Social Services, Citizens Advice Bureau, Housing Associations ... and many, many more.

The shop, which is wheelchair accessible, is open Monday to Friday: 1000 to 1630 hrs. They also have a Delivery service.

There are lots of opportunities for volunteering and always need things to recycle - see their website for the goods they can receive.
