A Cambridge branch of a national charity for younger people (up to the age of 55 years) who have had a stroke or similar injury. They meet twice a week for support and therapeutic exercise:
They meet most weekdays. This is at the Scotdales Garden Centre, David Rayner Centre, Great Shelford, CB22 5JT. Visit the Cancer Help Centre's website for directions (there is a little parking available). You don't need to become a member - just turn up.
They also meet on Thursdays from 1400 to 1600 hrs for swimming and water exercise. This is at Parkside Pool, Gonville Place, Cambridge, CB1 1LY (Tel: 01223 446 100 or 446 104).
If you need a support worker, please bring them along with you. If you just need a little help, there will be some people around to give you some assistance. Again, you don't need to become a member, just turn up.
