Beds & Cambs Rural Support Group

Also known as: Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Rural Support Group

Description

A local charity that is part of a national network of rural support groups. It is dedicated to combating stress in rural areas.

They provide free confidential advice on help that is available to people in the countryside who suffer from ill-health, isolation, financial hardship, redundancy and homelessness.

Their volunteers have first-hand experience of the difficulties faced by those in farming and allied industries in rural Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire because they too live and work in the local agricultural community.

If someone you know or care for needs help with their problem, please get them to call the Group.

Problems can include: business problems; personal debt; benefits entitlement; housing worries; redundancy or career change; training and retraining; ill health; isolation and loneliness; family concerns; succession and retirement issues; bereavement.

The Group is there to listen and, if required, it can point you in the right direction for advice, guidance and even financial assistance.
