Description

National UK organisation for deafened men and women and their families - people who have grown up with normal or near-normal hearing, then become severely or totally deaf in adult life.

It offers specialist rehabilitation for deafened people. It helps people adjust to deafness in everyday living through rehabilitation and life skills programmes, training health care professionals in acquired deafness, and conducting research that will advance the understanding of this type of deafness.

It also has an Outreach Volunteer scheme has Challenging Deafness programmes, Social support groups, cochlear implant support programmes.
