Brainwave Centre for Rehabilitation and Development

Description

Brainwave is a charity which designs therapies for children with developmental delay (whether caused by cerebral palsy, genetic disorder or brain injury) which can be carried out in the child's own home. Childrens' abilities and needs are assessed during a short stay at the Brainwave Centre.

A programme of exercises is designed according to each child's needs which is then taught to the parents until they feel confident to carry out the programme at home. The Centre continues on-going support with home visits, telephone and email contact and reassessments at four to six-monthly intervals when programmes are adjusted to allow for further progress.
